This six (6) week class covers all of the novice exercises in Rally Freestyle Elements.
Rally Freestyle is a Rally format that combines Canine Freestyle within a rally style course. It can be done to music. Many of the exercises are novice, intermediate and advanced exercises from the regular rally format but it also contains exercises derived from freestyle and individual tricks. This class further develops your dog’s versatility, your handling skills and provides excellent practice for most dog sports. To explore Rally Freestyle, click here: https://www.rallyfree.com/
In our classes, using music is optional and initial training is done without music. Heel-work and rally exercises to music are a productive way to train for the development of rhythm and consistency. If using music, you must provide your own.
For dogs over 6 months of age. Dogs should be mature and responsive enough to work off leash in the presence of other dogs. Dogs may work both on or off leash. Dogs and handlers will be in motion much of the time and dogs may also need to be briefly tied or crated during some of the class activities.
Basic Obedience skills at a reliable level and a desire to do more with your dog. It is helpful to have taught your dog tricks or have some familiarity with regular rally exercises.
